The Originals, Week 1, Day 3

by David Joynt on January 09, 2018

JOHN 1:14

When we are close to God, the world is alight with glory. The
sunrises and sunsets are a blazing gift, the laughter of children is
an echo of heaven's joy, the Bible's truth is a light in the
darkness, the faces of friends take on a holy cast, and even a
broken and a contrite heart is a doorway to grace.

John was attuned to the glory of Jesus. He saw it in his deeds of
mercy, he heard it in his wise words, he felt it on top of the
mountain when his Lord was transfigured by the radiance of
eternity, he sensed it in the gory suffering of the cross, and he
celebrated it in the power of the Resurrection. Glory, Glory,
Glory!

Sense the glory in these passages: John 9:32; 11:1-4, 38-44; 17:20-24.

See the glory of God in something or someone today.
