Session 1 PP

Follow the life of Jesus from birth through His resurrection according to the eyewitness accounts gathered by Luke. Class is lecture and discussion as we learn from scripture, pastors, and each other.

Our Goals During Our Time Together Are:

  1. To read the Gospel of Luke in its entirety
  2. Become closer as a community as we grow together in faith and discipleship
  3. ntegrate the teachings of Jesus into our life
  4. Grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus as Lord of our life

Luke was a well educated and a native speaker of Greek. He was well versed in the Greek Old Testament, which was uncommon at that time.

Most likely, he did not know Jesus, but because he was a traveling companion of Paul, Luke would have known all of the important people of the early church.

Luke is the only NT writer that was not Jewish.
