Under Construction, Week 7, Day 46

PHILIPPIANS 1:9-11 | And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.

Feeling incomplete, and being incomplete, is part of being human.  Our imagination exceeds our reality, our possibilities are greater than our accomplishments.  But this does not mean genuine progress is impossible!

Paul’s prayer is prayed with the expectation that the Philippians will grow in love and knowledge, in the capacity to discern and do the best things.  They will become pure and blameless and their lives fruitful.  There will be change on the inside (pure), as well as the outside (fruitful results).

It is good to know progress is real and possible—and worth praying and striving for.

Which mark of progress mentioned above do you most long for?

Pray for it!
