VPC 2.0 Daily Devotional-44

by David Joynt on November 16, 2020

ACTS 2:42| 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

The rapid growth of the early church was not the only encouraging sign for the first followers of Jesus. Another encouragement came from the “devotion of the members to the apostles’ teaching and prayers.” There was depth as well as breadth, growth in understanding, and spiritual practice, as well as participation. External development was matched by internal development.

Some subjects can be mastered and set aside, their mysteries exhausted and their challenges conquered. Not so with our faith, there is unending depth within our Scriptures and an inexhaustible journey toward a full knowledge of God.

Are you excited to know more of Jesus’s teaching and God’s character?

Are you excited to see other’s prayers?
