Encourage and support your child in the next step in their walk with Jesus Christ.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Deuteronomy 6:4-6

Tips for Engaging with Your Student during their Youth New Member Class:

Class Enrichment Activities: As part of the Youth New Member Class, students will be asked to create a timeline of their faith story, to talk to you (their parent) about a favorite bibleverse, to visit another faith community, to learn about their spiritual gifts, and to listen to their parents faith story, in addition, to writing their own statement of faith.
How to support: If you haven’t before, take some time to reflect on the same questions/activities as your student, so that you can discuss with your teen. Think about people, scripture and events during the various seasons of your life and how they impacted your faith journey. Be sure to share doubts and questions you may have had. This is a great opportunity to let them know God is big enough for those.
Make time: Make time to talk about this with your teen, when asked. If they don’t ask, ask them...would you like to hear my faith story?
