MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS

FAQS

Where do my kids go while I attend MOPS? We offer childcare for children (up to age 5) on a space-available basis. During the meetings, your little Moppet will enjoy the classrooms and playground of Valley Day School which is located on our campus. All caregivers are background checked and fingerprinted.

Do I need to register? All moms considering MOPS membership are welcome to attend a complimentary meeting before registering for the year. Annual membership is required by MOPS International as part of our charter agreement. The membership fee covers meetings, annual dues to MOPS International, childcare, refreshments, activities, and speaker honorariums. Scholarships or partial payment options are available.

Presbyterian Women

PW offers women at VPC meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community. For more than 200 years, Presbyterian Women's groups have strengthened the Presbyterian Church, played a major role in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, and witnessed to the promise of God's kingdom. We invite you to take part in our circles and luncheon activities.

Sunshine Acres

Sunshine Acres, “The Miracles in the Desert”, has been home to more than 2,000 children since 1954. The mission is to provide a loving, wholesome, Christian home for children who are separated from their parents and help them establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures, preparing them for success in adult life.

It has been the mission of Presbyterian Women to provide a handmade Easter card with a gift card for $100 to each of the 80 children at Sunshine Acres. We also cover the children of the house parents as well as those away at college. The children enjoy being able to pick out their own new spring outfits. For some, it is their first new clothes and shoes. Please consider supporting at least one child with your donation to this amazing program.

Crafters

This group of ladies from our Presbyterian Women gather regularly to create handmade Christmas themed crafts. If you have a special talent and would like to be connected with the group, please contact our PW Moderator Jayann Fordon:
