The third soil is filled with thorns that choked the grain of the sower. There is always competition for your attention and how you will spend your days. There are so many good causes in the world to partner with and there are so many harmful habits and ways to live life. The follower of Jesus must prioritize the life lived out in Jesus above all else or other concerns of the world will crowd out this primary relationship.

How do you keep the main thing the main thing in your discipleship journey?

The soil that produces crops is the soil that allows the seed to enter it. I have often heard the expression, “garbage in garbage out.” As we let the good seed into our life, God produces good fruit for others to enjoy.
